An Indian company that makes nicotine salts has raised about Rs 20 lakh for tobacco companies and plans to launch them in the next three to four months.
Bijan Nair, who founded the company, said it will be able to sell up to 20,000 to 30,000 units of nicotine salts at Rs 20,800 per pack.
Nair told NDTV that the company is already selling its nicotine salts in 20,700 units at Rs 2,200 per pack at retail outlets.
The price of the nicotine salts will be about Rs 3,000 per pack in the country.
The company is also planning to sell a nicotine pack in India for Rs 1,000 crore.
The company said it expects to sell 100,000 packs of nicotine packs in the second half of this fiscal.
